Although the world that you describe is unfamiliar to me, Versa Kay, the rhythm of your words is gentle – enchanting and evocative. I’m so happy that I can now follow your blog too, and return the compliments that you have so freely given me! Thankyou.

  9. I’m writing you on behalf of one of Hyderabad’s top city guide and recommendation website: http://CityHyd.info and I would like to invite you to be a contributor.

At this moment, I’m trying to amass the magician word-wizards of Hyderabad city under one umbrella i.e. CityHyd. With this opportunity we are trying to build a community of Hyderabadi bloggers expressing themselves on regular basis on a single platform. The idea is simple- You get to express yourself on CityHyd and we give you enough credits to drive up your readership.

    Lovely prose and beautiful thoughts!

I was browsing the internet for how to make chidathalu – for a joint amateur performance by me and my six year old. It is a burrakatha and I wanted to do it with my son so he can share my childhood memories of hari katha / burrakatha/ veedhi natakam and the like. Art forms of a bygone era, they may not survive for long.

Really enjoy your blog and will read as I find time. Please continue writing.

Yes, they are art forms of a bygone, nostalgic era, swamped by TV, cineme, magazines, the neon lights, and the mimnboggling pace of change that has overtaken us in the span of just a few decades.
Thanks for your kind words. Words like yours prod my lazy bones to write.

Found your website when I was searching for the venerable, Smt. Dokka Seethamma on Google. Found your blog interesting and I will come back for more of your beautiful prose. Really intrigued about who you are and where you live. I guess I will have to gather from your blog posts as suggested by you 🙂

btw. I heard an anecdote about Smt. Dokka Seethamma in a talk by Sri Chaganti Koteswara Rao garu. (titled “Lakshya Sadhana”). I dont know if you ever heard him but I think you should!

    • versa kay says:

Many thanks for your kind words. I regularly listen to the illuminating talks of Sri Chaganti garu, on Bhakti TV and other channels. His erudition and his memory are truly extraordinary.
